TOMAS REDRADO ART (TRA) is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2022, representing emerging and mid-career Latin American artists whose practices explore form, texture, materiality, and new modes of expression. With spaces in Miami and José Ignacio, and an expanding presence in Buenos Aires, TRA connects regional practices with international audiences through exhibitions, art fairs, and sustained relationships with collectors, curators, and institutions. The gallery prioritizes artistic autonomy and experimentation, fostering dialogue across local and global contexts. Its international program includes participation in fairs such as arteBA, ArtBo, BA Photo, Paris Photo, and NADA Miami.

CURATORIAL VISION

This presentation brings together a new series of watercolors by Luna Paiva, currently in production, in dialogue with a site-specific installation conceived for the gallery’s space in José Ignacio. The booth extends the conceptual and material concerns of the installation into the intimate scale of works on paper. Through watercolor, Paiva explores states of transformation, fragility, and suspension, allowing forms to emerge through transparency, accumulation, and fluidity. The immediacy of the medium contrasts with the physical and spatial presence of the installation, creating a tension between image and object, lightness and weight, permanence and transience. Rather than functioning as preparatory studies, the watercolors operate as an autonomous body of work and as a parallel language within the project. Together, the works construct a visual environment in which organic forms, fragments, and imagined landscapes move between the familiar and the uncanny. The booth is conceived as an extension of the exhibition in José Ignacio, establishing a dialogue between the concentrated space of the art fair and the expanded, site-responsive experience of the gallery.

BIO

Luna Paiva (Paris, 1980) is a Franco-Argentine artist based in Barcelona. She studied Art History and Archaeology at the Sorbonne University in Paris and film at New York University. Working across sculpture, installation, and photography, Paiva transforms natural forms and everyday objects—including rocks, cacti, plants, and plastic garden furniture—into meticulously crafted works in bronze, ceramic, clay, and mixed media. Her practice explores memory, ritual, preservation, and the passage of time, creating objects that appear simultaneously familiar and otherworldly. Paiva’s work has been exhibited throughout Latin America, Europe, and the United States, and is held in the permanent collection of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires.
