BIO
Carlos Amorales (b. 1970, Mexico City) is a Mexican artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, animation, installation, printmaking, sound, and performance. His work investigates systems of representation, language, identity, and collective imagination through recurring silhouettes, symbols, and graphic forms that move between the familiar and the uncanny. A central aspect of his practice is the construction of visual languages that can be recombined, transformed, and activated across different media, challenging stable relationships between image, meaning, and authorship. His work is held in major international collections, including The Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
