ESTE ARTE 2027 | GALLERIES

There is joy in knowing who you are, and freedom in building from that understanding. ESTE ARTE does not need to become something else. Its value lies precisely in what remains difficult to reproduce — scale, openness, proximity, and a cultural life that has never depended on spectacle. It proposes an autonomous cultural infrastructure rooted here, ambitious without becoming oversized, internationally connected without losing specificity or becoming subordinate to elsewhere, and open to the world while remaining unmistakably Uruguayan. In that spirit, we are lucky to present the artists and galleries of ESTE ARTE’s 13th edition.
– Laura Bardier, Director
