Please join us for brunch and a visit to Pueblo Garzón in collaboration with Black Gallery and Walden Naturae.

Founded and directed by Mercedes Sader and Patricia Fernández Graña, Black Gallery is a contemporary art gallery representing seminal Uruguayan artists as well as preeminent mid-career and emerging artists who dialogue with the currents put forth by these historical figures.

Walden Naturae is an exhibition space set in the enclave of Pueblo Garzón. Surrounded by hills, olive groves and vineyards in a more secluded Uruguay. Its annual programming activates and cultivates its unique setting with agricultural, ecological and artistic initiatives, creating an idyllic context.

Cecilia Alemani, Artistic Director of the 59th Venice Biennale
In conversation with Laura Bardier, Director of ESTE ARTE

Cecilia Alemani is an Italian curator based in New York. Alemani has developed an expertise in commissioning and producing ambitious artworks for public and unusual spaces. Recently, she served as the Artistic Director of the much anticipated 59th Venice Biennale (2022).

Joanna Warsza is a Polish curator, editor, and writer. Warsza works mostly outside the protection of the ‘white cubes’, in the public realm examining social and political agendas. Recently, she was the co-curator of the Polish Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale with a work of Romani-Polish artist Malgorzata Mirga-Tas.
